How can your computer become eligible for a Facebook account again?

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Me and my sister were trying to make Facebook accounts and she somehow we aren’t allowed to make Facebook accounts now. Is there any way to become eligible again?

Phew! You don’t have an account. Lucky you. I was daft enough to actually get one. Now I can’t delete anything and a bunch of strangers round the world have seen photos they shouldn’t have.

Just search the web for "facebook identity theft", "facebook crime", "facebook virus", "facebook pedophile" etc. etc. etc.

it’s the last network anyone should want to be on … unless they’re a criminal themselves.

What kind of application does Facebook use to let users upload programs?

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

What does Facebook use to let the users upload things like games, and applications to their website?

There are in-facebook programs called Applications. Photos, Groups, Notes, etc. are built in default applications, but users can add more of their choice by going to the applications page. Developers make applications like games by using the facebook developer tools to write the code to make applications. In your question, users don’t upload games and applications, they just can show or hide certain applications on their profile page.

Can you remove pictures from facebook that others have sent you?

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

My x-boyfriend put some pictures of me and him on my facebook page and I’m trying to figure out a way to remove them. Do you know how I can do that?

There are two reasons why the photos could be appearing on your Facebook profile. One being that the photo has been uploaded to your profile with your own account. The other (more likely) reason being that you were "tagged" in the photo that was initially uploaded by someone else’s Facebook account.

To either delete the photo or remove your tag the first step is to open the offending photo within Facebook.

If the photo was uploaded with your account you will have more control over the photo. A "Delete This Photo" link will appear under the photo on the right hand side of the page. Clicking this link will remove the photo from facebook altogether.

If the photo was initially uploaded to Facebook under someone else’s account you will not see the "Delete This Photo" link. However directly under the photo your name will appear within the section "In this photo". Clicking the "remove tag" link next to your name will remove your association from the photo and prevent it from showing up on your profile.

Please note, removing the tag will not delete the photo from Facebook, it will just remove any connection between your profile and the photo. The image will still remain on the owner’s profile. If you require the photo removed from Facebook completely you should contact the owner of the photo asking them to remove it themselves.

Hope this helps!
=D

Why when tagging photos on Facebook does it start getting slower and slower?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

When I’m tagging pictures that I have uploaded, after a few pictures worth, Facebook starts gettin slower and slower, until it is just at a crawl and I have to reload.

Is it just mine and why does it keep doing this? Its really annoying and makes me wanna not tag pictures, but thats the whole point of facebook!?

My browser is Firefox.
Thanks.

No, that never happens to me cause tagging doesn’t really do anything except tag that person on the picture. I think it’s just your internet.

How can I break my Facebook addiction of impressing people and acquiring many friends?

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I find that I’m addicted to Facebook and I want to acquire as many friends as possible, take lots of photos of myself in social settings, get as many wall posts as I can and give people the impression that I’m popular. I find that this is intruding into my life and interfering with my life since I log onto facebook everyday!
How can I break this addiction? I have low self-esteem and I feel intimidated by popular, sociable people and I want to show them that I’m someone.

You answered part of this question in your question when you said "I have Low self esteem" But it’s much more than that.
Much of your problem has to do with culture conditioning. You have allowed yourself to become a victom of the sick pop culture of youth in todays world.
What the world has to offer you, is not what you need. What you need to break your addiction you wont find out in the world of your friends, what others think about you, in money, or toys.
What you seek comes from within. Finding it can be very difficult. It requires stillness.
Many people don’t know how to be still and listen to what their soul needs. They have no idea what the power of zen or chi is, or how powerful peace from within can be, and what it can do for you.
You are now on the path to self enlightenment. Your journey on this path started with a truth revealed and knowledge concoured of the addiction you have been suffering from in the desire to be noticed as someone you are not.
You understand that the termoil of the lie you’ve been living is keeping you from the peace and power you know you need. This is a big first step in your recovery from the pop culture that is threatining you and many like you.
Life is not a competition, it’s a learning phase.
Don’t beleive every thing you hear and only half of what you see. There are unseen forces that threaten to destroy you. They influance us all in more ways than you can imagin. This is why you need to learn how to spend more time in meditation and seek the real you. I promess you, once you get to know the real you, you’ll have no care about how many friends you have or what they think about you. Finding the real you can break the chains of bondage that hold you back from living life as you were designed to. I think you’ll find that you can be your own best friend, and you will love who you are because the real you might be a super cool dude who is full of compation, desire, ceativness, and passion for what is really good.
Pray hard my friend, life is short.
