Social Networking: Easy Peasy Lead Generation

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Everywhere you look, people are talking about Web 2.0, social networking, Twitter, Facebook, Tweetdeck or Twhirl, to name a few.

There’s even a whole new Twitcabulary: tweets, tweeples, retweets, twitpics, etc. which can make things seem a lot more complicated.

Here’s the skinny on social networking. . .

Social networking using sites like Twitter and Facebook are an AMAZING way to build relationships, connect with others and yes, even generate leads.

My friend, mutual client and Mastermind buddy Nancy Marmolejo is phenomenal at social networking and building relationships online.

I highly recommend you follow her and read her blog in order to both learn a ton and have great fun!

5 simple ways to make lead generation “easy peasy” by combining social marketing with things you’re already doing (gotta love that repurposing!).

1. Link your Twitter and Facebook accounts so whenever you post to Twitter, Facebook is updated.

2. Link your blog to each Twitter, Linked In and Facebook so whenever you post a new item, the 3 separate sites will share the title and a link back to it automatically.

3. Link your Ezine Articles account to Twitter so whenever a new article is accepted, it will update Twitter (and therefore Facebook) with the title and a link back to it automatically.

4. Schedule “tweets” to go out offering great tips daily. I send out quotes and repurposing tips, my co-host in Raw Professionals Online, Karen Knowler sends out “Successfully Raw Daily Bites” – what will you do?

5. Create a “tweet ring” with those who you admire and complement your business.

Just imagine the amount of people your articles and posts are now reaching! Your friends, friends of friends, complete strangers – all are now exposed to your information AND given a link where they can learn more and sign up for your list.

It’s important to note that the above is a supplement to participating in actual conversations and chatting with others and is not a substitute for the “social” aspect of “social networking”.

I like to think of it as a big party with a ton of great people and interesting conversations that I can pop in and out of based on my schedule – and I don’t even have to “dress up”.

Make It Real: My Request To You

If you haven’t yet set up a Twitter and Facebook account, run, don’t walk, to Twitter.com and facebook.com – there’s no cost and they can be set up in minutes (seriously, you can tweak things later).

And then implement items 1 – 5 above in order to maximize your social networking presence and easily repurpose all that article writing you’ve been doing!

If you know you need to get everything set up and linked together, but it’s not your passion or desire to futz about with the techy stuff, check out my new Social Networking: Done 4 You service here and let my team handle all the details while you simply chat.

Talk about “easy peasy”. . . :-)

Social Media Marketing Blueprint Part 1…

http://www.trafficvaultsecrets.com Social Media
Social media are primarily Internet- and mobile-based tools for sharing and discussing information among human beings. The term most often refers to networking traffic strategies. In my videos there are simple stories that illustrate the forces shaping social media. This video comes in an unbranded “presentation quality” version. It is a fact that Social media is on the rise, and so are the privacy and security risks. Is it time to dial back on the whole Web 2.0 ‘friend’ thing? All the Social Media news and headlines from across the web can be amalgamated on a RSS feed. If you are trying to figure out how to integrate social media into your marketing mix, there are some great media properties to turn to for inspiration like twitter, youtube and facebook.
But they’re just one of the tools millions can use today to lift their voices in electronic communities and create their own media. Social networks like …

How on earth do I promote/market my social media website?

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Hi guys

I have adopted the Million Dollar Homepage model to use for social media, micro-advertising – http://www.becomethebrand.com

So what I mean is that if you twitter or flickr, you can get very cheap advertising on a virtual billboard.

The question is how do I get people to visit my site (especially as the first 100 visitors get free advertising)?

Should I start a blog, buy google ads, comment on high-volume blogs, use squidoo, get a facebook page, try and get someone to write an article, go on forums, use YouTube more (http://www.youtube.com/user/soplon313)?

Any thoughts would be great!!!

Thanks,

London guy

The quickest way will be Pay Per Click. You can land on the front page and see which keywords are performing and which ones are not. Going to facebook, myspace etc. will be much lower volume of traffic but likely convert to a sales at a higher%.

You can start a blog however if your blog is not optimized it will not be seen either. I went to your site and there is a lot of room for optimization and link building.

If you like can provide you with a comprehensive site analysis which will show you what I mean.

Harvard student writes truth about young people and social media/networking. Does anyone know of this article?

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Within the past month an article (or maybe was a blog) was published on Yahoo revealing truths about social media/networking and young people (20’s). The article surprised and received a lot of attention from major media moguls. I cannot find this article again anywhere. Does anyone know what I’m talking about or where I can find the article? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Are you talking about the student who recently launched a social networking site? If so, link below.

You might also check out the Boston Globe online (boston.com) and see if you can find the article there.

Social media marketing – Explain?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

I want to know about the social media marketing.
How can we do that ?
what are the procedure is there ?
how to do?
What is this ?
is it related to SEO?
If its related mean how?

At the SMX Social Media Conference, I provided these 20 take-aways about social media on my blog…

To avoid duplicate content, here are three of them, you can link the rest.

social media Marketing (SMM) is terrific for link building, not for conversions. This is a major change for many marketers to internalize and incorporate into their offering.

SMM requires incredible organization on the part of the marketer. Both to keep track of a campaign and to make sure not to break out of acceptable tribal ‘participation.’

SMM link building requires a keen eye for linkbait that relates to your marketing goals and finesse to make sure it’s not overtly sales-like in presentation…

the rest are on my blog…– the post is linked.
